Privacy Policy

Effective date: 15 October 2026

PP-00

Introduction and scope

This policy explains what happens to personal information in connection with the website at nullphase.online. The responsible entity is Original TRANS s.r.o., Na Kozačce 1103/5, Vinohrady, 120 00 Praha 2, Czech Republic, company registration 01696807, contactable at info@nullphase.online. Where this policy says "we", it means that company.

Original TRANS s.r.o. handles personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, which the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner sets out at oaic.gov.au/privacy/australian-privacy-principles. The sections below walk through all thirteen principles in order and say what each one means on this particular site. Several of them have very little application here, and where that is so, the section says so in a sentence rather than padding it out.

This policy covers nullphase.online and nothing else. Other sites you reach from here — including the game publisher's site reached through our affiliate link, and the public bodies we link to — are operated by other organisations under their own policies. When you leave this site, this policy stops applying.

The short version, before the detail: we run no forms, no accounts and no analytics, we set no cookies, and the site loads nothing from any other server. The only personal information that exists because of this site is in our host's access logs and in any email you choose to send us.

PP-01

APP 1 — Open and transparent management of personal information

This page is how we meet that principle. It is published at a fixed address, linked from the footer of every page on the site, and written to be read rather than skimmed past. It names the entity, its address, its registration number and a working email address.

Our practices are deliberately small, because the simplest way to handle personal information well is to hold almost none. There is no database on this site, no content management system storing submissions, and no mechanism by which a reader can create a record with us other than by sending an email.

If you want a copy of this policy in another format, ask us by email and we will send one.

PP-02

APP 2 — Anonymity and pseudonymity

You can read every page of this site without identifying yourself. There is no sign-in, no registration and no point at which the site asks who you are.

If you write to us, you may use a pseudonym and an email address that does not contain your name; we will answer an ordinary question just the same. The exception is a request for access to, or correction of, personal information we hold: there we may need enough information to be satisfied that the records concerned are yours, which is a safeguard in your favour rather than an obstacle.

PP-03

APP 3 — Collection of solicited personal information

Two categories exist, and only two.

(a) Server access logs. Our hosting provider keeps standard web server logs. Each entry can include the IP address the request came from, the date and time, the URL requested, the referring page if your browser sent one, and the user-agent string your browser identifies itself with. These are created automatically by the act of requesting a page; we do not add anything to them.

(b) Email you send us. If you write to info@nullphase.online, we hold your email address, any name you choose to give, the content of your message and any attachment you send.

(c) Nothing else. This site has no contact form, no newsletter, no sign-up, no account, no progress tracking, no quiz, no comment facility, no chat and no search box that records queries. It sets no cookies and uses no web storage. It runs no analytics, no advertising tags, no profiling and no cross-site tracking. It loads no web fonts, no scripts, no images and no frames from any other server, so your browser makes no request to anyone but our host while you read these pages. The checklists do not remember what you tick, because there is nowhere for that to be remembered.

PP-04

APP 4 — Dealing with unsolicited personal information

Occasionally an email contains personal information we did not ask for and do not need to answer the question — an attachment sent by mistake, details of a third party, or account credentials nobody should send anyone. Where it is lawful and reasonable to do so, we delete that information rather than keep it, and we do not use it for anything.

PP-05

APP 5 — Notification of the collection of personal information

This page is the notification, and it is linked from every page of the site. For access logs, collection happens automatically when a page is requested, and the section above describes exactly what is recorded. For email, the collection is obvious from the act of writing to us, and the contact page says what becomes of the message before you send it.

PP-06

APP 6 — Use or disclosure of personal information

Each category is used for one purpose and no other.

Access logs are used to keep the site running and secure: diagnosing faults, investigating abuse such as attempted intrusion, and understanding the load on the server. They are not used to build a profile of a reader or to measure an audience.

Email is used to read and reply to your message, and to keep a record of the exchange while it may still be needed.

We do not sell, rent, trade or otherwise share personal information for marketing, with anyone, ever. We disclose personal information to authorities only where the law requires it or authorises it — for example, in response to a valid legal process.

PP-07

APP 7 — Direct marketing

We do not carry out direct marketing. There is no mailing list, no newsletter and no promotional email of any kind. We do not send reminders about the course, because we have no way of knowing who is reading it. If you email us, we reply to you and that is the end of it.

PP-08

APP 8 — Cross-border disclosure of personal information

Two service providers are involved in operating this site: our hosting provider, which serves the pages and keeps the access logs, and our email service provider, which holds the mailbox. We have not been given, and therefore do not state, the specific countries in which those providers operate their facilities; the location may be outside Australia, and you should assume that access logs and email are stored or processed outside Australia.

No other organisation receives personal information from us. In particular, no advertising network, analytics provider or data broker receives anything, because none of them is present on this site.

Following an affiliate link is a separate matter and is dealt with in its own section below.

PP-09

APP 9 — Adoption, use or disclosure of government related identifiers

This principle has no application here: we do not adopt, use or disclose any government related identifier. We never ask for a tax file number, a driver licence number, a Medicare number or any similar identifier, and nothing on this site would give you a reason to send one.

PP-10

APP 10 — Quality of personal information

We hold so little that the question of accuracy rarely arises. Access logs record what the server observed and are not edited. If something in an email exchange is wrong — a misspelled name, an address we have noted incorrectly — tell us and we will correct it.

PP-11

APP 11 — Security of personal information

The site is served over HTTPS, so the connection between your browser and the server is encrypted. There is no database behind the site, no stored form submission and no reader-generated content, which removes most of what could otherwise be exposed.

The hosting account and the mailbox are accessible only to people working for Original TRANS s.r.o. who need access to run the site and answer email, and both are protected by the access controls those providers offer. Access logs are deleted on the schedule set out below, and email is deleted when the retention period ends.

We make no claim to hold any certification or to comply with any particular standard, because we have not been given any such information to state here and we will not invent one.

PP-12

APP 12 — Access to personal information

You may ask what personal information we hold about you. Email info@nullphase.online with Privacy request in the subject line. There is no charge for making a request. We reply within 30 days.

In practice, the answer for most people will be "nothing", because reading this site creates only a log entry that is deleted within 30 days and is not indexed by reader. If you have emailed us, the records will be the emails themselves.

If we refuse access, we will tell you why in writing and explain how to complain.

PP-13

APP 13 — Correction of personal information

You may ask us to correct personal information we hold about you. Use the same address and the same subject line, Privacy request, there is no charge, and we reply within 30 days. If we decline to make a correction, we will say why and explain how to complain, and you may ask us to associate a statement with the record noting that you consider it inaccurate.

PP-14

Why we hold each category, and for how long

Purpose and retention, by category
CategoryWhy it existsHow long it is kept
Server access logsSecurity, prevention and investigation of abuse, fault diagnosis30 days
Email to info@nullphase.onlineReading and replying to your message24 months after the last message in the conversation

Email is deleted at the end of that period unless it is needed in connection with a legal claim, in which case it is kept only for as long as that requires.

PP-15

Affiliate links and what happens when you follow one

Some pages on this site carry a link to a game publisher's website. Following it takes you off nullphase.online, and this policy no longer applies from that moment.

On their own sites, the game publisher and the affiliate network that operates the link may set cookies or use similar technology to record that the visit came from us, which is how a commission is attributed. That happens on their domains, under their own policies, and we neither control it nor have access to it.

What we receive is a commission report from the network: aggregate counts of referrals and amounts payable, used only to reconcile payments. We do not seek, and have no interest in, information identifying individual readers, and we do not attempt to match any such information with anything on this site.

Our link is a plain link. It is not a redirect through our own server, it does not pass through a tracking page on this domain, and nothing on this site rewrites it as you click.

PP-16

Complaints

If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, write to info@nullphase.online with the details. We will acknowledge the complaint, investigate it and respond within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au/privacy/privacy-complaints, which explains how to make a complaint and what the office can do.

PP-17

Data breaches

If we become aware of unauthorised access to, unauthorised disclosure of, or loss of personal information we hold, we will assess it promptly. Where the incident is likely to result in serious harm to anyone, we will notify the affected people and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner in line with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

PP-18

Children

This site is not directed at people under 16. It is written for adults, including adults setting things up on behalf of someone younger. We do not knowingly collect personal information about children, and we have no mechanism that could identify a reader's age, because we have no mechanism that identifies readers at all.

PP-19

Readers in the European Union, the EEA and the United Kingdom

Original TRANS s.r.o. is established in the Czech Republic, so the following applies in addition to the above.

The legal basis for keeping server access logs is our legitimate interest in operating a secure and functioning website. The legal basis for handling email is responding to the enquiry you have sent us. We do not rely on consent as a legal basis, because there is nothing here to consent to: no cookies, no tracking and no marketing.

Subject to the conditions in the law, you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. Exercise any of them by emailing info@nullphase.online.

You may also lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority for the Czech Republic, the Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů), at uoou.gov.cz, or with the supervisory authority where you live.

PP-20

Changes to this policy

If we revise this policy, we update the effective date at the top. Where a change is material, we will flag it in a note at the top of this page for 30 days so that a returning reader can see that something has changed and what it was.
